"Hello, I’m Joseph Gonzalez, and welcome to Eloquent Chefs. My journey into the culinary world began in 4th grade, inspired by watching my cousin transform cupcakes into edible art. This experience ignited my passion for food and the artistry behind it. I grew up helping my mom and grandma create delicious Puerto Rican dishes, which laid the foundation for my culinary ambitions."
My Story
"In high school, I joined a 4-year Culinary Operations Academy, where I learned the fundamentals of the culinary industry and began my fine dining career at Haven in Tampa under Chefs Chad Johnson and Courtney Orwig. After serving in the military, I pursued my education at Keiser University while working at Bern's Steak House and helping launch Boulon. Understanding the importance of being well-rounded, I also trained in Baking and Pastry under Chef Summer Bailey.
I hold an A.S. degree in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry from Keiser University and am currently pursuing a B.S. in Restaurant and Lodging Management at the University of Central Florida. Today, I work at Meliora in Sarasota, FL Under Chef Drew Adam's, where I continue to express my passion for food. I’m excited to share my culinary journey with you all. Let’s cook and explore the world of food together!"
